My submission for the book theme. This is the flower from the last page of Ferdinand the Bull. The book was my husband’s favorite as a child and we used it as our wedding guest book. He has Ferdinand on his arm too.

My first tattoo, on my ribs. It’s a tree of life based from Revelations 2:7, “He who overcomes has the right to eat from the tree of life.” This verse has so much meaning to me, and my best friend came with me to get it right before she moved to South America for a year. The tree is partly designed from my own sketch and Dan at Silk City in NJ did an amazing job turning it into a tattoo.
I submitted the Triceratops and T Rex tattoo a while back, but the line just keeps on growing! New additions are the Velociraptor and Diplodocus. Who else shall join the journey?

the name is zak, and what i have on my hand here is the greatest impulse i’ve ever partaken in. it’s a pixar ball, i got it a while back, but just haven’t gotten around to posting it. it’s been my goal since i saw the very first Toy Story, and i turned to my mom and said “momma, i don’t know how, but i’m gonna do that some day”. so the reason it’s on the wrist is really to just remind me to keep reaching for that goal. -done by Jody at

No Day But Today. This is my first tattoo and I couldn’t be happier. This tattoo means so much to me. First because it’s from the musical RENT which was the first musical I feel in love with. It helped me realize how much I love musical theatre and want to do it as a career. But secondly because of the saying. No Day but today is the philosophy I try to live by. It’s like the famous Latin phraseCarpe Diem. There is no moment like the present to live life to the fullest. And getting this tattoo was me putting the phrase into action because I don’t do well with needles or pain. But it was so worth it. No Day but Today.
